     Dr. Paul Berman, O.D., F.A.A.O.

Paul Berman, O.D. has been serving Bergen County since 1976 -- offering full scope, state of the art vision care.

Dr. Berman specializes in vision therapy for learning related visual problems, ocular discomfort, and performance problems related to reading, computers and sports. All vision therapy programs are individualized and all treatment is one-to-one in order to insure maximum benefit.

An International lecturer and former faculty member of SUNY College of Optometry, Dr. Berman consults for Head Start, pre-school facilities, and professional and Olympic athletic teams.

He is the Team Optometrist for the New Jersey Devils of the NHL and the founder and Director of Special Olympics Opening Eyes, a program serving the visual needs of people with intellectual disabilities.

                       Dr. Matt Esperon, O.D.

Matt Esperon, O.D. graduated from the University of California San Diego in 1999 with a degree in Animal Physiology and Neuroscience and then from the State University of New York College of Optometry in 2003 through a US Navy scholarship.

He then served his commitment as a Lieutenant and optometrist in the Navy in San Diego. He worked with Marine recruits at the Marine Corps Recruit Depot, co-managed laser surgery patients at the Refractive Surgery Center, and worked with Navy pilots at the Naval Air Station on Coronado Island and aboard the USS Nimitz Aircraft Carrier.

He participated in research at the Naval Refractive Surgery Center for the use of new laser surgery techniques and technology, and for the use of laser surgery in Navy pilots.

He is experienced in vision therapy, ocular surface disease, and retinal disease through externships at the SUNY University Optometric Center Vision Therapy and Ocular Disease Centers, and through the St. Alban's VA Hospital.
